TUTOR PROFILES
Aiden Sutherland
With 23 years of classroom teaching experience and 20 years of leading a large, successful Business, Economics, and Computing department in a North East secondary school, Aiden is a highly experienced and accomplished educator.
Over the years, Aiden has developed in-depth expertise across all major exam board specifications in both Business and Economics. Equally confident in teaching both subjects, he has successfully delivered A Level, GCSE, and Vocational courses, supporting learners at every stage of their academic journey.
Aiden believes exam success is built on two key foundations: strong subject knowledge and sharp exam technique. Every tutoring session is carefully structured to consolidate and deepen topic understanding, while placing a clear emphasis on exam skills. In Business and Economics, mastering exam structure is critical—students must be able to demonstrate knowledge effectively and write in a way that maximises marks.
His goal is always to bring out the very best in every student, building confidence and helping learners realise their true potential.
With a proven track record of success, he often reminds students of the words of A.A. Milne:
“You’re braver than you believe, and stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think.”
Outside of teaching, Aiden has a love of the outdoors, with favourite pastimes including camping, walking, and winter mountaineering.
