Sangeeta Sutherland

Sangeeta is a passionate and experienced educator with over 22 years of teaching experience, specialising in KS3 Computing, KS4 GCSE Computer Science, and expanding into KS5 A Level Computer Science. Her students consistently achieve excellent results, with a high proportion attaining Grades 9–7, well above the national average.


She has extensive experience teaching Computing across KS3 and KS4, with a proven record of supporting students through structured classroom teaching and targeted support. Beyond the classroom, Sangeeta has delivered nationwide booster sessions through the ISAAC Computer Science programme, giving learners across the country access to her expertise. In September 2024, she was appointed Head of Department, reflecting her leadership and commitment to excellence in Computer Science. She also works as an OCR Assessment Specialist, marking GCSE Computer Science papers and providing students with valuable insight into exam requirements and standards.


Sangeeta specialises in developing both subject knowledge and practical skills, while also delivering targeted support to strengthen exam technique. She equips learners with the confidence and strategies to approach assessments effectively and achieve their best possible results. Her guiding principle is:

“Every problem has a solution—you just need to find the right approach.”

Outside of teaching, Sangeeta enjoys travelling with her family, recently exploring Canada’s Banff, Canmore, and Vancouver, and taking on walks and climbs in the Lake District, including Blencathra, Helvellyn, and Catbells. She is also an enthusiastic reader, with favourites ranging from Dracula and The Girl on the Train to the classic A Town Like Alice. In addition, she loves experiencing the arts through theatre visits, embracing new stories and perspectives.
